Creamy canned tuna pasta – A quick and easy lunch idea for busy days!
Pasta recipes are great, delicious and easy! Most importantly, I love quick pasta recipes because everyone (I know) loves pasta, and I can whip up a proper lunch within 30 minutes.
This creamy canned tuna pasta is one perfect example, where you can cook a proper dish within 15 minutes by using a few common ingredients. Not rocket science, just a good pot of pasta.
I do not time every day to cook fancy, nor am I inspired daily to cook gourmet at home. I am sure that there are people out there who are in the same situation, and I want to share this canned tuna pasta recipe with you!
Tips on making Creamy Canned Tuna Pasta
All-purpose flour: It is important to dust the all-purpose flour over your dry ingredients before pouring the heavy cream to your sauce. This is to prevent flour from lumping. As a rule of thumb, I use 10g of all-purpose to 100ml of fluid.
Tip: If you accidentally forget to add flour before adding the fluid, simply mix flour with water. Mix it with a whip to form a flour mixture. Thereafter, transfer the flour mixture into the cream sauce to obtain a delicious canned tuna pasta.
Capers (optional): Capers have a strong, distinct flavour, which is not likeable for everyone! I personally like capers in this dish because they spice up this creamy dish. However, my family prefer not having capers in this dish. Therefore, I usually do not add capers to my creamy canned tuna pasta.
